About

A Creative Presence

McKay is a singer song-writer, entertainer, producer, and performer. His affinity for music began at a very young age. You could always find him singing around the house or making some kind of rhythm with his hands or feet. He started taking violin lessons at the age of 10. He stopped taking violin lessons at age 14, when he bought his first acoustic guitar from a local pawn shop. "I always loved singing, and sang in choirs at church but realized singing and playing the violin didn’t go well together. I needed an instrument that would provide accompaniment for my voice." Alas, acoustic guitar was the perfect instrument! No one and nothing could stop him from playing and improving his ability as a guitarist and solo singer. He learned how to play guitar initially from his uncle and videos off Youtube. Then a few years into it, he began taking formal guitar lessons.

He has amassed over 500,000 views on YouTube, posting different cover video’s and original songs. He has written over 55 original tunes. He wrote, recorded, and helped produce the song “One Last Hug” for the “The Hug Project” movement. I have been asked to sing with and accompany contestants on the The Voice and American Idol! I worked with a member of “The Mickey Mouse Club.”  He released his first album in 2020 and is releasing his second 10 track album in May of 2023. McKay loves the guitar, singing, performing and watching people smile and be happier because of listening and watching him play!
